So who keeps on eye on it’s Googley-ness? The FCC? The W3C? ICANN? Nope. It’s really all those SEO marketers. They continually track, pester, malign, praise, skirmish, and call out Google when things “change”.

W3C HTML5 Logo
OMG. I so want an HTML5 TSHIRT!!!!!!
Maybe it will help me remember to USE HTML5 CODE!! LOL!
This is amazing. W3C is not known for using design at all for anything on their pages. I love it! Sort of like imagine you wake up one day and Craigslist had colors and fonts and pictures and stuff!

Mihmorandum | Hotpot vs Yelp vs Facebook | Local SEO
Great analysis espcially for local search – More info about HotPot, and how it’s different than Yelp. I agree – what I like about HotPot is short one-hit reviews, as opposed to crafting a full review for Yelp
“Where Yelp is all about depth, HotPot is all about width, in terms of trying to glean at least a modicum of rating information about each business from as many of its patrons as possible.”
Google HotPot Reviews
I noticed the new HotPot ratings app-thingy-Google-toy when looking for restaurants on Google. PortlandFoodandDrink.com has the scoop on Portland as Google HotPot’s test market. Because of course we are the city where The Dream of the 90s is Alive we’re a great choice. I like HotPot because you can write tiny reviews, and don’t have to worry about being long-winded. I’ve gone through and tagged many fine Vietnamese Pho joints that are my faves and are worth a visit. Nonetheless – read more about it yourself over at PortlandFoodandDrink.com.
